What is Ergo?

Ergo is a Resilient Platform for Contractual Money. It is designed to be a platform for applications with the main focus to provide an efficient, secure, and easy way to implement financial contracts.

Ergo was created in 2019 in response to the stagnation in the blockchain area. It wants to be a resilient platform for contractual money. The main objective of the Ergo Foundation is to develop an efficient, secure, and simple financial contracts system.

Ergo platform implements various technical and economic ready-to-use ideas that add value but do not reduce the known advantages of blockchain systems. In contradiction with the traditional system, Ergo’s protocol provides no bailouts, blacklists, or other forms of discrimination. Ergo Foundation has designed its platform to be survivable in long term and to be simple and useful for everybody.

Open an Ergo Wallet

In case you are interested in mining and using ERGO cryptocurrency, you must have a dedicated ERGO wallet. You have several options, services to open it. First, you have the official wallet created by the ERGO Foundation. It is available in a desktop app version but also in an Android app. You can also use other third-party wallets like YOROI or ViaWallet.

How to mine Ergo?

Before giving you the instruction to connect to our pool, it is essential to share with us basic knowledge about mining ERGO.

In order to secure the network, ERGO uses the Proof-of-Work system, and it is, of course, miners who supported the blockchain. ERGO uses AutoLykos v.2 as a mining algorithm and it is mining is ASIC-resistant.

You will be able to mine this cryptocurrency only if you have a minimum 4Gb VRAM graphic card.

GPU hashrates with ERGO mining

Cruxpool and Ergo

Cruxpool provides a Ergo mining pool. We use a 1% PPS scheme and transactions run every 3 hours. The minimum threshold is 1 ERG and the maximum is 100.

Start mining ERGO on Cruxpool

To start mining Ergo, you need to use mining software that can mine this cryptocurrency. There are several mining softwares for Ergo mining. Here is a list of softwares where you can use for mining this cryptocurrency.

Start mining ERGO with NiceHash

After registering or logging into your NiceHash account, click on Hashrate Power Marketplace and then on My Pools. Once on the page, click on Add new pool. To set up Cruxpool mining pool on NiceHash, you must fill the following fields in the New pool display.

  • Custom pool name: Cruxpool Ergo
  • Algorithm: Autolykos
  • Stratum Hostname or IP: ergo.cruxpool.com
  • Port: 24444
  • Username: Your wallet address or your username
