What is Firominer?
Firominer is a mining software developed to mine Firo with AMD or NVIDIA GPUs. It is a ProgPoW GPU mining worker and it requires a GPU that has more than 4GB of VRAM.
This mining software is a command line program meaning you launch it either from a Windows command prompt or Linux console, or create shortcuts to predefined command lines using a Linux Bash script or Windows batch/cmd file.

Download the mining software
First you have to download the mining software. Make sure you choose the right file for your OS. If you are on Linux, take the file “firominer-Linux.7z”, if you are on Windows, take the file “firominer-Windows.zip”.
Set up your mining software
Once you downloaded the right file, go in the folder and create a new text document.
You will need to write down your command line in this text document. You can generate a command line in the command line generator.
Furthermore, it will allow you to mine with our mining pool, Cruxpool, which entitles you to multiple benefits.
Once you put your command line in your text document go in Files > Save As > Choose a name and for the type of document select “All files”. When you name your file, remember to mention an extension. The file must be in bash (.sh) on Linux or in batch (.bat) on Windows.
Then close the file.
To launch your mining, double click on the application from your file.
It will open a new window and your mining will start!
If you follow this tutorial completely, you will be able to mine Firo. Mining with your GPU requires no effort, except for checking sometimes if everything is going well. You can also check your hashrate with a Cruxpool account.
